Volunteers Wanted
The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program is set to start on Tues., Feb. 2 and will run through April 15 on Tues and Thurs evenings from 4:00-6:30 and Sat. from 1-3. Call Heather at 215-362-5250.
This program was very successful with dozens of low-income families getting the help they need from the VITA Volunteers at CHS. This year promises to be even more important as every family needs every penny they have.
Last year 180 families making under $40,000 saved $102,000 in taxes. Our 10 VITA volunteers felt the reward of a job well done. You could have that satisfaction too.
If Lansdale is not convenient for you, then maybe you can contact the two other locations in the area: CADCOM in the Norristown area (call: 610-277-6363) or the Indian Valley Library in Harleysville (215-723-9109). Ask them about their schedules.
One certainty in life is taxes. Help others get theirs right this year. It will feel good.
